What is SENZ Coaching Squad?

The SENZ Coaching Squad is a 20 weeks training programme that will allow you to develop the skills to start on the path to become a sport and recreation teacher, instructor or coach. The programme focuses on sport, coaching, outdoor adventure activities and fitness concepts.You will achieve NZQA unit standards towards the National Certificate in Sport (Level 2), First Aid and National Pool Lifeguard Award.
The Coaching Squad is supported by the Ministry of Youth Development.

Is this programme for me?

You must be a New Zealand Citizen or permanent resident, 16-25 years of age.

How do I apply?

Phone to make an appointment for an interview. Admission is open to all programmes, subject to an application, eligibility and an interview.

Enrol Now –Courses Are Free

SENZ Training & Employment Centre courses are government funded, and therefore there are no programme fees. SENZ programme are free to eligible students.

General Information

SENZ Training & Employment Centre will supply enrolled students with SENZ uniforms which are to be worn during programme activities and returned upon completion of the programme.
